We dedicate ourselves to a world where fashion, art, design and craft come together, inspiring while collaborating with each other. The results are garments that honor our roots carrying memories resonating from the past, creating experiences and opportunities for fond new memories.
From the storied Kimono culture of Kyoto, at Beyond Dreams Kyoto we design suits and abaya from the finest silk kimono fabric in Japan. We custom design our Beyond Dreams Kyoto Haute couture from an extraordinary selection of kimono fabric made of the finest silk in the world, or offer the opportunity to personally select color, type and pattern, and have fabric uniquely woven to order.
Beyond Dreams Kyoto Haute Couture are truly unique treasures to be cherished for a lifetime, our suits are expertly tailored and built by the two most esteamed world renowned Japanese tailors in Tokyo. And our one of a kind abaya are lovingly created by dressmakers prized in Japan for their sartorial elegance.
Our commitment in design is to maintain a culture of cherishing what we will never want to part with. We design and create pieces meant to be worn year after year. At Beyond Dreams Kyoto t.h.e. Design House, we now offer LEGACY FURNITURE’s ultra luxurious 21st Century Lacquer furniture, furnishings and interior design materials crafted at a stunning level and scale as never before.
Our implementation partners at KYORAKU KOUGEI source and procure rare and extremely difficult to find artistic building materials, marrying them with centuries old traditional Japanese lacquer craft techniques that have been developed far beyond what has ever been possible before.
At t.h.e. Design House’s LEGACY FURNITURE, we’re able to create truly ‘graceful elegance’ in our
21st Century Lacquer designs incorporating traditional Japanese decorative arts that were never possible in application to most lacquer furniture, furnishings and many interior design elements and materials due to their fragile nature and unpredictable behavior over time.
This is now possible, strictly because of KYORAKU KOUGEI’s unparalleled skill and craftsmanship in the art of ‘kinpaku’ and ‘ginpaku’ gold and silver leaf or foil and thread artistry incorporated with proprietary 21st Century Lacquer technology and its never before seen durability and extraordinary sustainability.
GROVE GROOMING FURNISHINGS
In our commitment to sustainability in all things, Beyond Dreams Kyoto t.h.e. DESIGN HOUSE LEGACY FURNITURE has launched GROVE GROOMING WOOD FURNISHINGS. A ‘first ever’ design line of furniture and furnishings produced with wood recovered from the vital need for grooming or ‘thinning’ in healthy sustainable forest management.
At Beyond Dreams Kyoto t.h.e. Design House’s LEGACY FURNITURE, by making use of wood gleaned from grooming, Grove Grooming Wood Furnishings designs support the sustainability of our forests. Participating in a larger effort to help revitalize struggling ecosystems, the restoration of natural biodiversity helps invigorate and reinvigorate the forestry industry itself.
